100% Natural
The ecoYoga mat is made of all natural ingredients: jute (a plant), and natural rubber, which is tapped from trees like maple syrup. Unlike other rubber mats on the market, the ecoYoga mat contains only non-toxic, naturally occurring minerals as softeners.
No More Toxic PVC Mats
Most Yoga mats are made from PVC (polyvinyl chloride), a highly toxic plastic. The manufacture of PVC creates dioxins, one of the most potent carcinogens accumulating in our environment today. PVC mats also contain toxic additives, which can off-gas during use.
Sizes and Colors
Dimensions: Mats come in two lengths: Regular length - 183 cm x 63.5 cm (72" x 24"); X-long length - 215 cm x 63.5 cm. Mats come in two thicknesses: the Standard mat is 4mm thick and weighs 1.2 kg (2.5 lb); the lightweight Travel mat is 2mm thick and weighs only 800g (1.5 lb).
The Best Earth Friendly Mat
The ecoYoga mat gives maximum performance with 100% earth friedly materials, and is manufactured to the highest standards in the U.K., without sweatshop or child labor.

The ecoYoga mat Care & Use
Use
Place the jute side up for traction. Because the mat absorbs sweat, it gives better traction than many mats. The jute's natural texture might remind you of walking barefoot on the earth. Let your ecoYoga mat air out after a sweaty workout. Avoid contact with oils, and store away from direct sunlight.
Care
Wipe your mat down with a clean cloth. Or wash by hand in the bathtub in cool water with a small amount of detergent, then roll in a towel to remove excess water, and hand dry. Machine washing may cause the mat to wear out more quickly. Do not dry by machine. Sunlight, oils, and high temperature are going to aid degration so these are factors that need to be taken into consideration.
Odor
EcoYoga mats have a natural rubber odor that will go away with time and airing out. Wiping down with water should help dissolve this odor.
Compostable
The ecoYoga mat will biodegrade completely in a hot compost pile.
