Green
Yoga Children's Conference
Planting the Seeds of Green Yoga in the Next Generation
Our
Mission
The
First Green Yoga Children’s Conference will be an event like
no other. Our mission is to educate and empower the next generation
through the multi-disciplined practices of Green Yoga, providing
engaging experiential education that integrates yoga, eco-awareness
and fun! Click here to see a detailed schedule.

We
are creating the forum to receive the wisdom of today’s youth
and to celebrate their power, creativity and vision. Having children
present at the Conference is a potent reminder of the circle of
life, and that our actions have ramifications lifetimes beyond our
own. It is also a reminder that change is the only constant, and
that each generation gives us a fresh chance to make that change
a positive one. By integrating the parents into a portion of the
children’s program, and by inviting the children to participate
in the closing plenary session, we are also affirming the value
and necessity of the inter-generational global family to bring about
long-term healing for the earth and humanity.
The
Program
This
program is lead by some of the most innovative children’s
yoga teachers in the field, experts in the art of joyfully addressing
the mind-body-spirit of each child.

Classes will include
· Yoga asanas, movement, dance and song,
· Eco-art, outdoor hiking and gathering adventures
· Storytelling and interactive performances.

My
Big Little Footprint
Through yoga, sensory games, hiking, music, dance and
art, the children will tap into their intuitive sense
of relating to nature as a part of themselves-inside
their body and out. After understanding their
connection as small beings in relation to the grand
universe, they will take their new found knowledge and
embody who they are RIGHT NOW as leaders of today,
knowing that there is nothing they cannot be, do or
have.
Their
art, and camera interviews will be taken to the
United Nations World Environment Day in Oslo Norway,
to be displayed for the whole world to see!

Hasita
Nadai
Hasita is a 500 Hour RYT, a professional level Kripalu Yoga Teacher,
Reiki Master and an Energy Medicine Healer. She is a deep ecologist,
biologist and geologist. Hasita roams the natural world, as a mountaineer,
canoer, skier and geologist. She journeys through the inner world
through yoga and meditation. She creates Yogagaia, where through
the practice of yoga our deep connection to the earth is revealed.
Yogagaia
Yogagaia tells the story of the universe, which is our story. We
will be in a circle and I will lead slow yogic movements that are
carefully coordinated with text and music. While in the circle we
become the universe. It becomes a playful ritual, with the message
“it is a miracle that we are here” and with the first
cell, that came to be we receive memory, therefore: “I was
there and you were there”. When we become aware that the story
is ours, that the trees, the galaxies, the stars and our bodies
are all made of the same stuff, we realize that we are all connected.
We begin with a short introduction and sharing end in shavasana
. The kids will then receive drawing paper and crayons on which
they can illustrate ‘their’ universe.
