Housing

Housing options on-site include camping (the most private) and lodging in bunkhouses or dorm rooms of 4-6 beds. Those who wish a private or double room should register as day guests, then book a motel nearby. The closest nearby lodging is at Venture Valley (www.venturevalley.net) less than a five-minute drive. Other options are an approximate 20 minute drive, and are listed below.

Indoor accomodations at Pema Osel Ling - Sangha House and Cabins

The Sangha House (right) and cabin (one pictured below) are located throughout the site. Rooms are heated and feature bunk beds to accomodate four to six people each. They are akin to summercamp destinations you may have visited at other sites: well maintained, clean, and rustic.

The Sangha House features a large deck with view of Monterey Bay. It contains group size bathrooms with showers inside.

Cabins have high ceilings and large sunny windows looking out to the forest. These are served by numerous nearby men's and women's bathhouses.

** Please note that linens are not provided for any indoor accomodation.

Camping sites are also found throughout the site. Some will accomodate up to a large family tent, or three small tents, others are more private. Sites can be found deep in the forest at the land's lower edges, as well as high up on a lawn more central to the locations we will use during the conference. Ample men's and women's bathhouses are located at all areas where people will be camping.

Car camping is avvailable, though there are a limited number of spaces which can be comfortably used. Please let us know if you intend to camp in your vehicle.

Off-site Accomodations

For those who would prefer private single or double rooms offsite, following is a list of nearby hotels, motels and campgrounds. Please be aware that the rate for day use on the land is equivalent to the camping rate; this rate includes six organic meals onsite.
